Impedance School - ISSchool-J15
NanoGe Foundation is one of the world renowned
scientific platforms to conduct/organize the symposium in diverse topics.
Among the Nanoge events, the “HOPV” is well known sparkling scientific event in
energy conversion devices field around the globe. Another notable, successive series of NanoGe foundation is “impedance
school” which primarily introduced in Spain. Later
this school was introduced to Asian countries (South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and
China) as “Asia edition” and has received profound attention in the last few
years.
I am glad to share that we have organized this year's ISSchool-J15 (International Workshop on Impedance Spectroscopy of Energy Materials
and Devices 2015) on 14th to 15th July 2015 at Tokyo University of Science, Kagurazaka Campus, Tokyo, Japan. First of all, We thank Prof. Akira Fujishima, President, Tokyo University of Science for his support and guidance.
We have received overwhelming response from the participants around the globe. A two days intensive training on impedance spectroscopy was given by Prof. Germán García and Prof. Sixto Gimenez, Institute of Advanced Materials, University of Jaume I, Spain, on different topics including perovskite, organic solar cells, photoelectrochemical fuel production, and Li-ion batteries. Prof. Takaya Kubo (University of Tokyo) has delivered excellent lecture on Quantum Dots Solar Cells.
This course introduced the whole experimental process of Electrochemical Impedance spectroscopy: from the design of experiments, set-up requirements, to data analysis with special attention to computer-controlled instrumentation and use of software packages for data fitting and visualization. The key factor of this workshop is one-to-one interaction module, which brought effective hands on experience to the participants.
On behalf of organizing committee, let me express our special gratitude to all the participants of this school for their enthusiastic attendance and cooperation. Also I would like to convey my hearty thanks to Prof. Terashima Co-Chair of this School for his everlasting support and providing all necessary arrangements to make this event successful one.
I personally thank the NanoGe foundation for giving me this opportunity to chair this school.
